John G. Nicolay Papers (Library of Congress)

Nicolay served as Presidet Abraham Lincoln’s personal secretary. He later worked on a 10 volume biography of Lincoln with John Hay (Lincoln’s other private secretary during his presidency). The Library of Congress offers some of his papers through their website.
